A transfer student must have attempted 15 hours or more of college-level courses, with a 2.0 GPA or above.

If you have attempted 14 hours or less you are considered a Freshman Transfer. You will need to submit all the OFFICIAL transcripts from every college you have attended, along with your High School Official Transcript and Test Scores

  • We ONLY accept transfer credits from Regionally Accredited Colleges and Universities
  • We have to have a completed Transfer Application before we can evaluate which classes will transfer in from your colleges
  • You will receive a letter in the mail from Admission’s informing you of our Admission’s decision

To maximize scholarship opportunities, students who wish to enroll in the fall and summer semester should be admitted by March 1 or spring semester should be admitted by October 1.

    The Black and Gold Scholarship pays towards tuition, required fees, and/or on-campus room and board as follows:

    The Black and Gold Scholarship pays $4,000 a year for a maximum of eight semesters for freshmen and a maximum of six semesters for college transfer students.

    Freshmen:

    • High school applicants must have a minimum academic grade point average within the range of 2.75 or above on a 4.0 scale in academic subjects and an ACT score of 18 .

    College Transfer Students:

    • College transfer applicants must have a grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale after completing 24 semester hours of credit.
    • Applicants must transfer from an accredited college.

    To Maintain Academic Scholarship Awards

    Awardees must remain enrolled full-time Awardees must also complete at least 24 semester hours by the end of the spring term.

    Awardees must have a minimum academic grade point average of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale to retain the academic scholarship awards the following academic year and 2.5 for the Black and Gold Scholarship. Students who are awarded academic scholarships must stay in compliance with the academic scholarship requirements. Those students who do not meet the specified qualifications will not retain a scholarship.
