The Justin Veatch Fund Music Scholarship
The Justin Veatch Fund was created in honor of Justin Veatch, a 17-year old musician who, when on the verge of recording his first music album, died from a drug overdose in 2008. Today the non-profit organization honors his memory and passion for music. His father started the organization in 2009 as a way to create scholarships and programs for musically-gifted teens. Music was very important to us because that was Justins talent, he was an excellent student but was also involved in music, said Jeff Veatch, Justins dad. Each recipient receives $1,000 for their dedication to music as well as an inscribed metronome as an added bonus. Applicants simply submit a 500-word statement about what they intend to do with the scholarship, a personal statement that reflects their passion for music and written music or performance clips. When I won the scholarship as a high school senior, I was elated. The scholarship money helped me fund my tuition at Belmont University where I continue to pursue my music endeavors, former recipient Chloe Collins said. While Justin may not be here to see just how impactful his life was, through this scholarship, we will never forget him and his immense love for music.

Tips For Business Majors To Win Scholarships
When it comes to scholarships that apply to undergraduate and graduate students studying business, a tip to winning these scholarships is being able to share reasons why there are pursuing a business major. Writing about these reasons in an essay ranging between 200 to 1000 words is a great way to win a scholarship.
Scholarships For Business Majors To Apply For In 2022
On average, business students have typical yearly tuition for attending public and private universities. One can argue that undergraduate students and graduate students studying business are more costly when it comes to college students acquiring a bachelors degree.
In a study by the College Board in 2017, it was found that over half of all business students reported having yearly tuition of around $9,000 for public schools. At the same time, the average tuition for a complete 4-year college was $27,357, which is closer to $7,000 annually than $9,000.
So, because undergraduate and graduate students pursuing business are more costly than other majors in terms of yearly tuition, the need for scholarships to apply is excellent. Especially considering business students have a surplus of math courses they need to take, they have to pay significantly for their school supplies.

Tips For Winning Music Scholarships
So now you know where to look for scholarships, but how do you make sure you get chosen? Well, there is no way to guarantee that youll win all the scholarships you apply for, but you can increase your chances.
If you are preparing for a scholarship that requires an audition, ensures that everything else that comes with auditioning is taken care of and your sound. Have your outfit, travel plans, and any other arrangements planned and handled before your audition.
For scholarships that require an essay, make sure that your essay answers all parts of the prompt. Look for ramblings or extra information that doesnt pertain to the subject of the prompt. Also, make sure that your writing is clear and engaging. Having a boring and hard-to-read essay is an easy way to lose the sponsors attention when they try to read your response.
