This scholarship is one of the undergraduate scholarships for law students. It is sponsored by an international law firm. The fund makes a non-renewable annual grant of up to $5,000 to minority legal scholars at institutions in Ohio.

    The National Asian Pacific American Bar Association works to promote the wellbeing of Asian Pacific American attorneys. The organization administers several scholarships for law students in the first year of law school. Applicants do not have to be of Pacific Asian descent but must have been accepted to law school. Applicants will be judged on academics, financial need, leadership, and interest in the Pacific Asian community. There are several scholarships with varying payments.

    Each year, the Victoria Ovis Memorial Scholarship is given to a student who has lost a law-enforcement officer parent in the line of duty students of parents who have been permanently disabled are also eligible.     For law students who are interested in research or work thats inclusive of the Muslim perspective, the Hub Foundation Scholarships are one way to help pay for law school. Each of the 15 winners get $2,500, $5,000, $10,000, or $15,000 to use toward their education.     Scholarships For Hispanic Law Students

    The Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund may be a good resource for Hispanic students. MALDEF supports law students who seek to further advance the civil rights of the Latino community in the United States.

    In the past years, MALDEF awarded from 5 to 15 law school scholarships of $2,000 each to deserving Hispanic law students throughout the nation.

    The program is open to eligible law students currently enrolled full time at an ABA accredited school. Other criteria they look at are grades, financial need and outside school activities. Above all, eligible applicant must show dedication to advancing Latino civil rights in their careers.

    MCCA or the Minority Corporate Counsel Association offers law scholarships for Hispanic women. They offer the . It helps law students pay for tuition, books and fees. Eligible fellows receive $10,000 a year for three years to help defray the cost of a JD degree. They also receive a one time award of $10,000 to assist with 1L expenses.

    Police Officer Assistance Trust

    The Police Officer Assistance Trust has a total of 10 scholarships and some are scholarships for law students. Seven are named for people and three are more general scholarships. Some are to honor police who have been killed or injured on duty. Most of them are for $2,000. Requirements vary, but applications must be related to police officers and have some interest in criminal justice. There are awards for science and art students. Applications are due May 1.

    The police officers assistance trust was established in 1989 under the direction of the Dade County Association of Police Chiefs. The association helps policemen and families of police officers when they are in need. The organization was started after two officers in Miami were killed in 1988. They have fundraisers during the year with law enforcement and the public supporting scholarships for law students.

    Ball State University offers a lot of scholarships for law students, and for many other academic endeavors.     A federal program designed to reduce violent crime by increasing the number of skilled police officers working on community patrols across the United States, the Police Corps offers scholarships worth up to $3,750 per year to students who plan to earn their undergraduate degrees, complete Police Corps training, and then serve for at least four years in high need communities. Since Police Corps scholarships are renewable, students receive a maximum of $15,000 from this program, which may be used for tuition, fees, books, room, and board.
