This $10,000 scholarship is available to nursing students who are pursing baccalaureate, master’s, or doctoral degrees. Medical Professionals Of Tomorrow Scholarship

This scholarship is for full-time college students who are pursuing a degree in the medical field, including nursing. Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited two-year, four-year, or graduate program in the U.S. Students must submit an essay about why they chose their current field of study and what they hope to accomplish. The scholarship application deadline is December 31st and the award is given in amounts anywhere from $500 to $3,500.

The MNU Continuing Education Scholarship represents our commitment to professional development, and was established by a resolution at the 2013 Annual General Meeting.

Two scholarships of $1500 are available annually to MNU nurses enrolled in a nursing degree or post-degree program that is nursing related. Please note that distance and on-line courses that are part of a degree program may qualify for this scholarship. RN, LPN, RPN applicants may apply for the scholarship in any year of their program.

The scholarship recipients will receive a monthly stipend and cover their tuition, books, library, and other program fees. They sign an agreement to fulfill part of the contract terms after graduation by receiving all these.

The only federal scholarships you can apply for as a second-degree student are:

  • If you obtained a bachelors degree from a foreign or non-accredited college, youre not eligible for federal aid. If an institution judges that the foreign degree is not equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree, it might make an exception.

    Your federal financial aid options may be limited, but you can still try other sources.     Six incoming students returning to college to pursue a second career, and degree, in nursing at UCF will have a majority of their tuition and fees covered thanks to a new scholarship from a national trust.

    The six scholarships are the first awarded from the $600,000 grant recently gifted to the College of Nursing from the Helene Fuld Health Trust, the nations largest funder devoted exclusively to nursing students and nursing education. This is the first time that the college is able to offer a continuous scholarship for new second degree Bachelor of Science in Nursing students. Scholarships were previously not available to these students until their third semester.

    Scholarship support is critical to provide much-needed financial assistance to students seeking to pursue a career in nursing and meet growing demand for skilled health care practitioners nationwide, said Mary Lou Sole, dean of the UCF College of Nursing. We are honored to receive a grant from the Helene Fuld Health Trust and will continue to seek scholarship funding to aid more of our deserving students.
