Carole P Davis Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is available to full-time junior or senior dietetics majors currently employed by a UNC Residence Life Dining Services operation who have worked at least 200 hours in dining services and have a satisfactory job evaluation history. A minimum 3.0 GPA is required. The Amelia G. Brown Nutrition and Dietetics Scholarship Endowment was established by Amelia Brown, class of 1969 with a major in Home Economics Education. Dr. Brown served the university for 30 years, reaching the rank of full professor, as well as, 13 years as the Chair of the Department of Applied Human Sciences, six years as Associate Dean in the College of Applied Science and Technology, and six years as Associate Dean of Transfer Articulation.

Vivian V Rockwood Scholarship Endowment

Vivian V. Rockwood established the scholarship endowment to generate scholarships for students enrolled in the Nutrition and Dietetics Program in the College of Clinical and Rehabilitative Health Sciences at ETSU. Ms. Rockwood served as the Chairperson of the Department of Home Economics at ETSU from 1958-1976.

Four $1500 scholarships will be offered each year.

Florence Fish Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is available to full-time female students majoring in Dietetics. Junior or senior applicants must have 30 semester hours at UNC with a 3.0 GPA sophomore applicants must have a 3.2 GPA and freshman applicants must be in the top 25% of their graduating class. A letter of intent indicating why student wants to be a dietitian must be submitted with the application. A maximum of two awards for freshman and two awards for sophomores are available each year. The number of awards for juniors and seniors is dependent upon the number of qualified applicants.

Home Economics In Homemaking Scholarship Of Weld County

The purpose of the scholarship is to promote the development of leadership for a junior or senior student attending UNC for use toward the completion of a degree in Dietetics or Nutrition. Juanita West Proffitt Scholarship

Juanita West Proffitt established the scholarship to generate funds for students enrolled in the Nutrition and Dietetics Program. Ms. Proffitt graduated from ETSU with a B.S. in Home Economics in 1960 and a M.S. in vocational-technical education with an emphasis in Home Economics in 1984. She returned to school as an adult student, commuting 80 miles each day to complete her degree.

Academy Of Nutrition And Dietetics Foundation Scholarships

The Foundation proudly serves as the largest provider of dietetic scholarships to students at all levels of study. Foundation scholarships, including scholarship funds established by many affiliate dietetic associations and dietetic practice groups, are available to encourage eligible students and members to enroll in dietetics programs. Most Academy Foundation scholarships require Academy membership to apply some may also require specific dietetic practice group membership and/or affiliate membership.

Prereq: This course is open to students enrolled in the College of Agriculture, Food and Environment or those in the College of Agriculture, Food and Environment Residential College’s Belle C.
