Georgia educators hope scholarship program will ease math, science teacher shortage

Georgia Southern University net price is at $16,963.00 per year and will likely continue climbing like all colleges around the U.S. There are various ways to combat the steep rises in college tuition, and scholarships can be a key ingredient in reducing the overall cost of Georgia Southern University . Georgia Southern University awards an average of $23,000.00 to each student, which can help alleviate some of the financial burden. However, most families will need to find other sources of funding to bridge the remaining tuition gap. In addition to the annual tuition, Georgia Southern University students can expect to pay $N/A in housing costs and $N/A in meal plan costs – if you chose to live in the surrounding area of Statesboro, then those costs could be even higher.

83% of full-time students receive local or institutional grants with an average award size of $6,648.00. Furthermore, 33% of students receive federal grants with an average amount of $4,634.00.

The numbers seem bleak and, truthfully, they are for most average American families. Luckily, the scholarships below are open to Georgia Southern University students, with the goal of helping to afford a college education. Some scholarships may be specifically provided by Georgia Southern University while others are open to Georgia Southern University students, though not exclusive to Georgia Southern University .
