Student Reviews Of Florida Gulf Coast University
I really enjoyed the size of the school. It isn’t as huge and overwhelming as larger schools but it isn’t too small that you would constantly run into the same people.
Be aware of on-campus housing. I know a couple of people, myself included, that have had issues with mold and ants in the dorms.
I love the fact that FGCU keeps its class sizes small and gives us the opportunities that some bigger colleges do as well. Their freshman dorms are amazing especially since you have your own room. I live off-campus for my last few years and it isn’t far from the school. You do have to search for social life that fits you, but there are clubs for almost everything.
Some of the teachers here are questionable in their ability to teach, not their knowledge. The professors are crazy smart, just some of them should not be teachers. Also, some of the advice isn’t amazing, but you can always ask upperclassmen for recommendations.
College is tough, but with a positive mindset and a hard work ethic, it’s not hard to go far. College is also very fun so it’s important to remember to get out sometime!
Be aware that college is not like high school in the aspect that homework is less but more in-depth. You’re more likely to spend more time on homework for your classes.
That is not an extremely large school so we can have closer contact with professors.
