What Types Of Financial Aid Can I Receive
Most students receive a financial aid award that includes a combination of funds–some that require demonstrated financial need, others that don’t.
These funds fall into four general categories:
- Grants: Require financial need and do not have to be repaid
- Student Loans: Must be repaid with interest, usually after graduating or withdrawing from college
- Scholarships: Awarded based on grades and other achievements
- Work-Study: Aid earned through part-time employment
Note for non-CA residents:
Effective for Fall 2016 Admits, the University is unable to provide university grant or scholarship support to Non-California Residents. Federal Pell Grant, Work-Study, and student loans are available to assist with education costs.

All communication from the Santa Monica College Financial Aid Office will be sent to you via email or posted on your financial aid portal. For example, your estimated award letter will include information about your eligibility for federal and state financial aid, the type of award and dollar amounts awarded to you.
*An award is based on the number of units enrolled in each semester and subject to change based on academic standing. See the orientation page for the breakdown of enrollment.
Note: Students can only receive federal financial aid from one college at a time. If you plans to attend two colleges concurrently, you must decide which college you will receive your financial aid assistance from.
You can submit most documents through the new paperless system called Corsair eDocs!

The Value Of An Nyu Education
Ninety-six percent of recent NYU graduates are either working or going to graduate school. Their mean average salary is $64,734. That says a lot about the return on the investment of an NYU education.
But facts and figures dont tell the whole story. NYU students graduate with the experience of living and learning in vibrant, complex cities around the world.
They dont just attend lectures by luminaries in their fields. They create, perform, and conduct research alongside them.
They forge friendships with peers who seem completely different, but in fact share passions like exploring every detail of an artist, inventor, song, meal, town, or topic.
