HOPE Scholarship is a state-financed merit-based scholarship program
A student may qualify for a HOPE scholarship if they meet certain eligibility criteria. These include the fact that the student has not completed a baccalaureate degree or attempted to complete less than 127 hours of college courses. In addition, he or she must be a Georgia resident.
The amount of the HOPE scholarship will be determined by the number of credit hours a student enrolls in each semester. Students must enroll for a minimum of 15 semester hours per semester. After that, the amount will be adjusted as necessary at the time of disbursement of financial aid. However, students who enroll for more than 15 hours will not receive a HOPE award greater than the total tuition charges for the semester.
In order to receive a HOPE scholarship, a student must be a Georgia resident who has not received a previous HOPE scholarship. He or she must also have a minimum GPA of 3.30. Eligibility is limited, so students who receive a HOPE Scholarship should plan accordingly.

What Is The Georiga Hope Scholarship
HOPE, Helping Outstanding Pupils Educationally programs are funded by the Georgia Lottery for Education. HOPE scholarships are available to eligible Georgia high school graduates of 1993 or later. South Carolina Hope Scholarship
Similar to the Tennessee HOPE Scholarship and other HOPE Scholarships, the South Carolina HOPE Scholarship is funded by the South Carolina lottery. The state founded the South Carolina HOPE Scholarship in 2002. It is one of the states main merit-based scholarships.
Winners of the SC HOPE Scholarship are given an award of up to $2800 to offset the cost of paying for college. However, unlike most other scholarships for college, the South Carolina HOPE Scholarship can only be applied to a students first year of a four-year course. Students receive half of the award in the first semester of their freshman years, and the second half in the second semester.
Similar to other HOPE Scholarships, applicants to the SC HOPE Scholarship must meet a number of HOPE Scholarship requirements to apply.

Georgia Tuition Equalization Grant
If you are a Georgia resident attending or planning to attend Emory full-time you may be eligible for a non-repayable Georgia Tuition Equalization Grant . Requirements for this grant include graduation from an eligible high school at least 12 months prior to the first term in which you receive the grant or graduation from a non-eligible high school plus established residency at least 24 months prior to the first term in which you receive the grant.
Recipients will be awarded $450 per semester. Although GTEG grants are not awarded based on need, they will reduce other full tuition scholarships you are eligible to receive.
There are two ways to apply for the Georgia Tuition Equalization Grant. To be considered for this grant in addition to other sources of federal and state aid, all you need to do is complete the FAFSA. HOPE or Zell Miller Scholarship
To apply for the HOPE or Zell Miller Scholarship, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or the GSFapps. Additionally, a HOPE Scholarship Request Form must be submitted if a student is not a current recipient or transferring from an out of state institution. Graduating high school seniors do not need to submit a request form. The Georgia Student Finance Commission reports eligible students as their final academic status is determined. Students should notify our office after July 15th if they believe they are eligible but have not yet been awarded.
Students can track their eligibility by logging onto the My GAfutures tab at gafutures.org. Recent high school graduates should select the “My High School HOPE GPA” link. Current undergraduates should select the “My College HOPE Profile” link.
*Note: The FAFSA is valid for Fall, Spring & Summer semesters of that academic year. It must be completed each year for consideration. Students who are admitted starting summer semester must complete two FAFSAs. For example, for Summer 2019, students should complete the 2018-2019 & 2019-2020 FAFSAs.

To be eligible for the HOPE Scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:
